Ticketmelon is a digital ticketing platform that services both ticket buyers and event organizers.
The team is full of young, driven, and talented people, who build meaningful products that simplify the process of event organizing, end to end.
Founded in August 2015, this startup from Thailand has grown to become one of the country's top three ticketing services. Ticketmelon has also since expanded to Myanmar and the Philippines.
I joined Ticketmelon in an advisory role back in 2018, to help them with their branding and marketing initiatives.
CONNECTING THE DISCONNECTED GENERATION WITH THE POWER OF VOICE

In a world that is increasingly connected, there’s an entire generation that’s been left out.
For R/GA's annual Make Day, a day where everyone engages in super-rapid prototyping to solve a non-client problem, our team created Grandpal. A connected device that helps the older generation feel a little less disconnected.
The device is voice activated and prototyped as a Skill on an Amazon Echo.
In a day (and a half) of making, we wrote, recorded, and tested Alexa Skills on VoiceFlow - even linking it to read news in real time. The language was hyper-localized, to better land the message with the audience. We also hand-built the casing to resemble a familiar retro radio.
At the end of Make Day, prototypes were shared, presentations were made, and votes were casted.
We won. And we intend on seeing this through.
Not bad for a day's worth of making, huh?
